LinkedIn remove ability to view Email addresses of New Group Member Requests

LinkedIn continue to move the goalposts for Recruiters with an update this week that has removed the ability for Group Managers to see the email addresses of Members who have sent a Request to Join a Group.  If you are one of the smart recruiters who have previously exploited this loophole to harvest email addresses of those who join your Groups, you’re going to have to work harder to get those contact details!

To be fair, LinkedIn are well within their right to do this; it was never a feature that they advertised or promoted but it was a pretty cool way to obtain direct contact details from your Group Members.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Boolean Searching and Mailtester, today is likely to be a very sad day.  For those of you who are; you’re sighing at the thought of additional work but it’s not the end of the world.
