Pay Transparency & Compensation Conversations for Recruiters

This mission equips recruiters to run pay-transparency conversations end to end. You'll master the principles of why pay is opening up, build the underlying infrastructure of well-scoped roles, defensible ranges, and hiring-manager alignment, then put it to work across screening, location-based pay questions, negotiation, and closing while keeping candidates and employees trusting the process.

What you'll learn:

  • Explain the principles behind pay transparency and communicate pay credibly.
  • Build the infrastructure of roles, ranges, and hiring-manager alignment.
  • Navigate screening, negotiation, and closing inside a transparent range.
  • Maintain candidate and employee trust throughout the process.

This Mission Includes 3 Courses

Pay transparency isn't a compliance checkbox; it's the right thing to do. As a recruiter, your job is to understand the why behind transparency and be able to communicate pay clearly, early, and credibly: real ranges, no salary-history anchoring, explainable criteria, and clarity on total rewards. The outcome is confidence: you can talk about pay in a way that feels fair, consistent, and human.
You can't communicate what you don't understand. Before a single candidate conversation happens, the infrastructure has to be in place. That means a package you can explain, a role that's correctly scoped and priced, a range published consistently, a hiring manager who's aligned, and internal risks flagged before they become problems. The outcome is readiness: every search launches on a foundation of clarity, and you arrive at every candidate conversation already prepared.
This is where transparency gets tested. The principles are in place. The infrastructure is set. Now you have to handle the moments that matter: early pay conversations on screening calls, location-based pay questions, and negotiations inside a transparent range. This course gives you the language, the guardrails, and the judgment to navigate each one so when those conversations happen, you're ready for them.
