The National Recruitment Federation held its fifth Recruitment Industry Awards at the Shelbourne Hotel on Dublin’s Stephen’s Green last Friday night and if proof were needed that the industry is alive and kicking, then this event was it!
The panel of judges at the biggest recruitment event in Ireland was chaired by Tony Lambert – Chief Executive of Fingal Dublin Chamber and he was joined by Sorcha Corcoran – Senior Editor at Whitespace Publishing Group, Patrick Meehan – Managing Director of Invictus Management and Gillian Econopouly – Head of Public Policy at the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
Recruitment Plus, who source candidates in sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Scientific Engineering and Manufacturing, to name but a few, walked away with the coveted Agency of the Year award for a small agency while Parc Aviation – the global market leader in providing aviation personnel on lease to airlines and aviation support organisations – did likewise for best large agency.
Peter Nunan from Sigmar Recruitment won Recruitment Consultant of the Year and the night got better for the company with offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Warsaw and Singapore, when the Best in Practice – Sales and Marketing award went their way for the second successive year.
The other Best in Practice winners were Servisource for Healthcare, CPL subsidiary Careers Register for Accounting and Finance (their first win in this sector), Osborne Recruitment for Office and Secretarial, CPL for IT and Telecoms, Noel Recruitment for Hotel and Catering, O’Reilly Recruitment for Light Industrial and the aforementioned Parc Aviation, who added the Best in Practice award in Technical Engineering and Science and In A Specialism to their Agency of the Year award.
Robert Walters collected the Best Online Agency Service award while the NRF Cert RP Graduates of the year ‚¬€œ Karen Kavanagh (Noel Recruitment), Nikki King (Parc Aviation), Joanne Murray (Osborne Recruitment), Misty Plotner (CPL) and Shaun O’Shea (Sigmar Recruitment).
